In the final of the prestigious European Car of the Year 2025 (COTY) competition, where only seven out of a total of 48 applicants qualified, the all-new Kia EV2 won 3nd place.
This success follows Kia's victory in 2022, when the brand triumphed in the competition with a newly debuted model - the all-electric EV6. Such a high-profile result is a strong endorsement of the company's impressive and well-regarded range of electric models in Europe.
A jury of 60 highly regarded automotive journalists from 23 countries took part in determining the result announced at the Brussels Motor Show in Belgium.
Kia EV3 received 291 points in the final vote. It was followed by Citroën ë-C3/C3 (215 points), Hyundai Inster (172 points), Dacia Duster (168 points), Cupra Terramar (165 points), Alfa Romeo Junior (136 points), and the 1st place with 353 points Renault 5/Alpine A290.
We are honored by the high rating. This confirms that Kia has created an excellent range of electric cars that are becoming available to an increasing number of European motorists. The runner-up title of the EV3, together with the victory of the EV6 in 2022 and the several awards received by the EV9, confirm that Kia is the automaker that is currently setting the standards for electric cars. Such a result will help us to increase the sales of electric cars in the European Union in such a short period of time.

The list of finalists for the competition was officially announced last November, after which the jury's experts had eight weeks of scrupulous evaluation of the applicants, which concluded at the Meteta test center in Belgium.
Thanks to its engineering solutions, design and value for money, the EV3 confidently joins a family that already boasts the EV6 and other amazing models. On behalf of the jury, I can't wait to see what Kia will create in the future.
Soren Rasmussen, chairman of the European Car of the Year jury
With a segment-leading range of up to 605 km (WLTP for a model with an 81,4 kWh battery) and an innovative interior design based on Kia's Opposites united philosophy, the EV3 continues to impress both automotive experts and motorists around the world. The EV3 is one of the most efficient electric vehicles on the market and offers a combination of style, technology, performance and value like no other model in the compact SUV segment.

The high result of the Kia EV3 in the European Car of the Year 2025 is not the first success of the model in the international arena. This year, the Kia EV3 won the prestigious 2025 Women's World Car of the Year (WWCOTY) compact SUV category. The jury, consisting of 82 female car journalists from 55 countries on five continents, evaluated the Kia EV3 according to criteria such as safety, quality, price, design, driving comfort, performance and environmental impact. In their opinion, out of 12 cars in the compact SUV category, the EV3 deserved the win. Against the background of the other eleven competitors, the Kia EV3 stood out with excellent driving characteristics, modern technologies, comfort, as well as the price-value ratio, fully achieving the manufacturer's goal of increasing the appeal of electromobility in the eyes of a much wider range of customers around the world.
The EV3 is available throughout Europe. Its versatility combined with its affordability allows it to take on the role of the main car in the household. Over time, Kia also plans to introduce an all-wheel drive (AWD) variant of the EV3 and a GT model, giving customers an alternative to the two-wheel drive (2WD) models currently available.

I already like it. Kia ranks this among crossovers with only 14 cm ground clearance. A typical compact Golf class car. Technical specifications Kia EV3 SUV 2024 is 4.3 m long and 1.56 m high. It has 14 cm ground clearance and offers 1251 l cargo space.
Kia no longer offers free coffee in its showroom, you need to look elsewhere 🙂
